An example for everyday life

One weekly plan. Seven dinners. One shopping list.

This vegetarian example answers the dinner question for a week. Every recipe makes two portions. All ingredients, short cooking instructions and the combined shopping list are here to use right on this page.

For 2 people · 7 dinners · about 25–40 minutes per meal

Breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks are not included. Quantities are a starting point and can be adjusted to your appetite. Pasta, rice, couscous and lentils are weighed dry; chickpeas are weighed after draining. Seasoning quantities are a guide.

The shopping list for the whole week

The quantities from all seven recipes are added up here. Check what you already have, then round up to suitable pack sizes when shopping. Cooking water comes from the tap and is not on the list.

Check your cupboard: oil & spices

Make the plan your own

Start with your calendar

Mark evenings when you are eating out or short on time. Move meals to fit your schedule before you shop. If you cook the mushrooms later in the week, you can pick them up on a second shopping trip.

Adjust quantities and ingredients

For one person, halve the recipe quantities; for four, double them. Adjust cooking times and pan size as needed. You can swap meals too: remove their ingredients from the list and add those for the replacement.

Check your cupboard before shopping

You may already have oil, spices, pasta and cans. The list gives the amounts you need rather than pack counts. For example, 480 g drained chickpeas means two cans with a drained weight of 240 g each; check the label on the can.
